About the neighbourhood
Marmalade Cottage is situated in Geluksburg, a sleepy little village in the Little Berg region of Natal, situated about 25kms from Bergville along dirt roads. For the traveller who wants peace and quiet off the beaten track, but who enjoys comfort too, this is the place for you. Cattle roam the streets and the silence is usually only broken by a rooster's crow. The view from the deck of Marmalade Cottage is of rolling fields leading to the majestic Berg on the horizon. If you're a nature lover, you may see Duiker or Reedbok in the veldt behind the Cottage and in Winter, the endangered Ground Hornbill wanders around the village. Come & see for yourself, you'll be so glad you did. The area is ideal for walking or mountain biking enthusiasts.
How to get there
Geluksburg is a tiny village and there are no shops here. The nearest shops, supermarkets and petrol stations are in Bergville, 25kms away, so it's best that you stock up with the necessities on your way.
