Cottage By the Sea is the picture perfect beach house, only steps from the beach. (So picture perfect in fact, that it was the set location for a movie!) Centrally located exactly between Rehoboth and Dewey, this quaint shingled house is easy walking distance to the two very different but lively downtown scenes, but providing a quiet respite in between. Choose one of three beautiful rooms: a King-bed suite, a Queen-bed suite with an outside entrance, or a very comfortable room with XL Twin beds... all with their own private bath.
Only 3 houses back from ocean on a quiet residential street, you can hear the waves, smell the salt air, watch fog roll in. Get up early for a run, bikeride, long walk, or yoga on the beach. Read, nap, enjoy cocktails on my huge wraparound porch. Close to everyth...

Only 3 houses back from ocean on a quiet residential street, you can hear the waves, smell the salt air, watch fog roll in. Get up early for a run, bikeride, long walk, or yoga on the beach. Read, nap, enjoy cocktails on my huge wraparound porch. Close to everything -- a short walk (or catch the Trolley if you're feeling lazy) into both Dewey/Rehoboth for great restaurants, nightlife & tax-free shopping. And, as in a true B&B, I make you a delicious breakfast!
> Your bedroom suite has a KING size bed, two dressers, an easy chair, ceiling fan (but of course I have a/c as well!), your own TV, walk-in closet and a beautiful renovated bath with marble tiled stand up shower.
> You'll be staying in the Master Bedroom of my home, with a privacy door to the suite. Sleep in, or sneak out early in the morning for a sunrise walk. >Coming from the beach, there's a roomy OUTDOOR SHOWER fir your pleasure when you're sandy coming off the beach. You'll have access to the main common areas of my home: KITCHEN, LIVING/DINING rooms, and of course, my huge wraparound screened PORCH -- said to be 'the Best Porch in Rehoboth Beach' for quiet reading, dining al fresco, afternoon nap on the chaise lounge, or cocktail hour.
> I have an extra REFRIGERATOR that guests may use for snacks, BYOB beverages or restaurant leftovers.
> Keurig Coffee/tea/cold bottled water is always available.
> BREAKFAST is included, either hot, made-to-order (at your prescribed time) or I can leave a plentiful breakfast out for your leisure access.
* Rehoboth Beach has become a haven for FOODIES; there are so many fabulous restaurants here! I'm happy to make recommendations or answer any questions... I've eaten at just about every place in town!
* Eating out for every meal may not be your thing, especially when the popular restaurants can have long waits for tables. No worries, just order carryout and enjoy a lovely candlelight dinner out on my porch!
* Or, make a quick trip to the grocery store, and you are welcome to use my charcoal grill, and 'stay in' for dinner if you like. (You have kitchen access to staples/spices/condiments for your convenience.)
* In addition, I have an upstairs DECK if you'd like to catch rays without the sand, or do some stargazing. I have a nice collection of books and magazines you are welcome to borrow for beach reading. I also have 2 loaner BIKES you may use to ride the local trails or into town. But, I think mostly you'll love having the BEACH only steps away!
* Bed linens, a pillow selection, and fluffy bath towels will all be provided, but I recommend you bring your own beach towels, blanket, etc. I do have beach chairs and a selection of coolers you are welcome to use. Umbrellas can be rented on the beach for $12.
* You are more than welcome to BYOB, use the fridge/ice, for taking drinks/snacks to the beach, or for relaxing on the cool screened porch with a cocktail after a day in the sun. I have an extra fridge on the porch for the use of guests. I also have a variety of barware (skakers, blender, plastic wine glasses, cocktail glasses and pint beer glasses) you may use as well.
* I also have a stack of restaurant menus, and several local guides, maps, even a bike trail map, that you may use -- everything you might need to know at your fingertips!
* Lastly, you don't have to worry about parking either. I have plenty of off-street parking so you don't have to buy an expensive parking permit or have to keep the Rehoboth Beach meters filled with quarters all day. I am very close walking distance into downtown (easy 15 min), and there is also the Jolly Trolley that stops only a half block away.
* The beach is guarded, and has rental equipt, hot dogs, drinks, snacks, and Planet Ice available by beach shack and from the golf carts driving by. No alcohol allowed on the beach during summer guarded hours (10am - 5pm), but feel free to take an adult beverage out on the beach after 5pmMore
