Hal the owner is friendly and available 24/7. Once booked Hal will send the guest his cell phone number and a home operating instructions to open the lock box containing two keys to the front door. The codes needed to use the free wireless Internet service. Hal is a retired AAA Salesman (American Automobile Association) for 39 years and will assist guest with their questions about things to do and places to see in Beautiful Lake County. CA

About the neighbourhood
Clearlake is California's largest natural lake and very popular because of its warmer water for boating,fishing and water skiing. There are fishing guides operating on the lake and can usually accommodate three fishermen on their boats in addition to them selves. Clearlake is know as the 'Bass Fishing Capital of California. There are usually 3 to five Bass fishing tournaments held on Clearlake each year with expensive bass boats, Boat Motors given as prices for the largest catch. Also, there is a big Cat Fish Derby held in Clearlake Oaks each May with valuable prices awarded for the biggest fish caught during the tournament. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Bait shops in Clearlake Oaks and adjoining towns.
Getting around
Clearlake has public transportation bus service around the lake with very reasonable rates. Also taxi services, Since Clearlake is in wine country, there are many tasting rooms around the lake, Hal recommends two of his favorites wineries to his guest One in particular is Brassfield Estate Winery only a fifteen minute drive in the upper hills of Clearlake Oaks, CA the town where his waterfront home is located. Also Vigilance/Shannon Ridge Winery at Lower Lake. Hal currently has free wine tasting coupons to offer his guest while they last.

How to get there
Hal's property is easy to find. Hal will furnish a map of the area showing his property on the waterfront. From San Francisco by automobile allow 3 hours.
If after2:00 PM traveling North on State Hwy. 101 allow four hours. If the guest will be traveling to the property from SFO they will not have a lot of traffic to contend with if driving at night or early morning. From Oakland Airport the distance and conditions are the same. three to four hours one way.
