By email or phone. All questions are normally answered by email correspondence but I am also very happy to take calls. Once the booking is made, we are regularly in touch before your stay and then we ask guests to text the housekeeper on the day of arrival so that she can meet you at the house, show you around and give you keys.

The location is excellent for walking and restaurants, lovely well equipped dog friendly apartment. They leave you a welcome basket with essentials like bread, butter and milk.

Lovely, well equipped apartment. They leave you a welcome basket with essentials like bread, butter and milk but also a few treasts which is a nice touch. Location is very good for local amenities.

About the neighbourhood
Crickhowell is a small but beautiful town. There are lots of lovely places to eat or drink and some fantastic shops, all privately owned - no chains here, everything you need in life can be bought in Crickhowell. The house backs on to a medieval castle ruin and there is a small children's play area in the grounds. There is a library in the town and many amazing walks or cycle routes on the doorstep and you can travel by foot, or hire bikes (which can be delivered to your door) or hire a canal boat and travel all the way along the canal to Brecon in one direction or Newport in the other.
Getting around
Everything can be done on foot local, we have lots of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. The canal is in walking distance and there are lots of excellent walks, both mountain and flat from the door. You can also hire bikes if you want to go further afield and we have an excellent bus route between the local towns either side of Crickhowell.

Railway: Abergavenny: 6.0 km
You can drive (we have private off street parking) or catch a train to Abergavenny and then a short bus ride to Crickhowell. Mortimer House is just a one minute walk from the bus stop.
