Goose Run Cottage was originally an 18th century stone barn now fully reinstated as a modern two en-suite bedroom, traditional stone cottage with all modern facilities including good WiFi. Underfloor heating in the large living room and radiators in the bedrooms keep the cottage warm and cosy in the colder months. It offers a stunning setting in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is fully self-contained with a full sized, well-equipped kitchen, fabulous master bedroom, delightful second bedroom and elegant dining area. The cottage stands within a private and exclusive family country estate, facing south with amazing views across a private lake, peaceful pastures and woodland and is adjacent to the main family residence. Tranquillity, peace and beauty is what our guests find here in abundance in this lovely rural setting. You can wander across the entire estate, mingle with the sheep and alpacas, surprise a wild deer, stroll in the wild flower meadow and follow babbling streams in the woodlands. We even have a tree-house/wildlife hide, a swing and a place to light camp fires if you wish. There's a local pub just 20 minutes walk through the estate and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast is only a 10 mile drive. All our guests respect our no smoking policy everywhere on the estate or in its buildings.More

About the neighbourhood
Being in a remote area of West Dorset it's good to know that we have a local community shop and a quaint old pub close by serving good food, beers and wines. There are also restaurants, manor houses and gardens just a short drive away with the World Heritage Jurassic Coast just 10 miles distant. Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock is a favourite for our guests with its stunning cliff walks.
How to get there
We are about 130 miles from South West London. We share our postcode with three farms close by so we'll provide you with precise instructions about how to find us.
