About the neighbourhood
San Josecito is a lovely rural beach town. Immersion with the Costa Rican culture is only one of the many attractions to this area. The world famous Corcovado Park is a 3 hour hike from the front door. The beautiful uninhabited beach is a 5 minute walk down the hill. Tours can be arranged for deep sea and sport fishing, dolphin and whale watching, horseback riding, canopy zip line, private guides to Corcovado Park and bird watching.

How to get there
From Drake Bay Airport or boat launch in Aguajitas, Drake Bay:
Taxi is available and 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Travel south along the road to San Josecito Beach for approximately 8 miles / 12 km. You will cross 2 rivers and pass through the town of Los Planes. The property is 3 miles from Los Planes. After passing through the creek you will see the sign for Poor Man's Paradise. Just past PMP is Restaurant Bella Vista. We are the property just south of the restaurant. The key will be with the caretaker Jose at the restaurant.
There are a few food and liquor markets in Drake and one in Los Planes. The only food available after Los Planes is at the restaurant where delicious typical costa rican food is served at reasonable rates.
