Nestled amidst lush green coffee plantations & comfortably located at approximately 25 Kilometres from the lovely Chikmagalur city, Kalyancool Homestay is a perfect getaway from the cacophony of city life. At an elevation of 3,400 feet above the mean sea level, the air is fresh and clean. The daily din of engines revving & incessant honking is swapped by the pleasant sound of chirping by variety of birds all day long & the sound of Jewel Bug (Jeerunde) in the night.
The accommodation is aesthetically designed with abundance of windows giving a good view of the surrounding lush green coffee plantation.

The best stay we've ever had !
After a loads of looking for places to stay for a group of 12, we decided on Kalyan cool homestay not knowing what to expect.
Pros :
Rooms :
When we reached there and checked out the rooms, it's everything we could ask for. Spacious rooms, upto 5 beds in a room to 3 beds in a room. We were 4 families and the rooms were perfect for us. We could stay together and yet have our own privacy. The rooms were clean and so were the washrooms.
Food:
Food for us, had always been a problem wherever we visited but not this time. To us, it was literally the best we got. The food made us feel at home. It was wonderfully to cooked to suit our tastes. They served deserts after breakfast everyday, one being a carrot dessert and the other, an avacado dessert that grew on their own farm and they were very delicious.
We were served starters to keep us accompanied during campfire on both the nights and they were tasty too.
Games :
They had a basketball hoop, a badminton court that could be used for throwball as well and rifle shooting. We had a carrom board to engage us when it rained. We were provided with all the equipment.
The rifle shooting was the best part of the stay. It was something new that we had never tried out.
Hospitality:
Mr. Girish was very helpful to us throughout our whole stay. He helped us plan our trip to nearby attractions and made sure that we got everything we needed.
Cons :
None. Literally none.
Of all the places we've stayed at, hands down, Kalyan cool homestay was the best place we've stayed at. There was nothing we could complain about. Would totally recommend this to anyone travelling to Chickmagalur.

Kalyancool homestay
The best home stay I visited so far,with charming natural beauty spread across, one can go there to forget the busy metro life and have a smooth and relaxing time, the homestay also has arrangements to campfire, some soothing music and activities and not to forget the delicious food served gives extra effect to the trip.
I just miss the days I had been there and definitely and the owners are also friendly, the home stay is well maintained and is clean.
Overall a place to stay when you visit chikmagalur

Felt like another home
The stay located in a big coffee state, full with greenery. They have a good area to play volleyball, badminton. we have stayed here for three days and all the time they have given us an excellent food. and they have provided snacks and tea/coffee anytime we want. we were the team of 17 members. and they have taken care of all of us.

The perfect place to getaway with family & friends. Location of the Homestays is good located inside the coffee plantation �Best place for mental peace & relaxation. The added advantage is food is delicious & nice hospitality, the rooms are very clean and hygienic . Finally the place we can visit again & again.

Perfect vacation destination Kalyan Cool Homestay
Our chickmaglur trip was memorable. Must mention the share of Mr & Mrs Girish, very friendly and warm hosts who made us feel at home. Wonderful hospitality, well maintained rooms. Highlight is the delicious & variety of home made food served. KC Homestay located amidst coffee estate has a very peaceful & serene atmosphere. A perfect destination for relaxation. Two thumbs up for hosts.

" Relaxed stay amidst nature "
We visited kalyan cool homestay from 1st Oct for 3 days and it was a wonderful journey, thanks to Mr. Girish bhai and his wife for their wonderful hospitality.Food was extremely good, a wonderful cuisine of Malnad.Definitely would recommend this place.

Best homestay I ever stayed
Before I start my review, if you are looking for a pleasant, tension free, close to nature, relaxing and rejuvenating vacation, just book this. You will love it.
We were 3 couples with a total of 4 kids. We booked the entire homestay, which had 4 rooms in total as we didn't want any stranger within the same house when we are staying with family. Owner charged a very nominal rate to block the 4th room.
Location:
Almost 25km away from Chikmagalur town. Away from all the traffic and noise. Exactly what we wished for a relaxing experience.
Property:
This homestay is within a 35 acre coffee plantation. This is adjacent to the owner's house and we felt very secure. Owner and his wife are very loving and caring, and they constantly checked on our well being and needs. We really felt at home. This is a big plus.
Rooms:
All the 4 roomws are bath attached. They are very clean with plenty of beds. Every room has one Queen size bed and at least 2 single beds. Rooms are spacious enough for a pleasant stay. All bathrooms are extremely clean and fitted with water heater.
Food:
This was unbelievable. Food was awesome. Better than home food (I hope my wife doesn't see this review) Owner's wife prepares the food. All three meals. With lot of varieties too. We opted the non-veg option. They served chicken and fish for lunch and dinner. Everytime, they would provide us with their possible options and if we need any tweaks, they were ready to incorporate that. We all loved their Malnadu cusine. They will provide Kababs for dinner with an additional, reasonable cost. We opted it for all the three dinner we had. Everything they served us was extremely tasty and we never had such satisfaction from anywhere else yet.
When we went out to roam around, he packed our lunch by 9:15 AM and put it in our car. Another great advantage we never had earlier.
Tea/Coffee/Milk were served in morning and evening.
Activities:
A plantation walk, air gun shooting, badminton, cricket, football. They have decent facility for all these. Kids really loved the game part.
To conclude,
This was the best homestay experience I ever had. Best vacation too. If I visit Chikmagalur again, I won't spend even a single minute on internet. I have the owner's number in my phone.
