About the neighbourhood
The small community of Llampaies is situated towards the east of the region, not far from Camallera (2 km), where all kinds of amenities are available. The surrounding countryside boasts gentle rolling hills, farmland and coniferous woodlands. Beaches of L'Escala in the Costa Brava is at 16 km. The tiny center of Llampaies is formed of typical local houses. The quarter around the church is the oldest part of the village. Around 100 meters to the north, is the smaller Vecindario del Puig, a group of houses, built in the 17th and 18th centuries. 200 meters from Vecindario del Puig is the Vecindario de los Masos. Some of the houses here date from the end of the 18th century, although the majority were built in the 19th century. There are around 30 people living in the center.
