About the neighbourhood
The cave galleries of tuffeau stone dug out of the rocks, formerly used to build chateaux are nowadays remarkable wine cellars, mushrooms cellars or troglodyte villages. The world famous zoo of Doue-la-Fontaine nested in a troglodyte cave is a few minuts drive away. The village is located on St James way, the pilgrimage route to Spain in the Middle Age. And for an unforgettable experience, try a flight over the area in a hot-air balloon.
How to get there
Fly Ryanair to Tours airport, 1 hour driving from Tours. Take the ferry to Calais then 4 hours driving from Calais. Get onboard the Eurostar to Paris and then Angers, 3 hours driving. Satellite coordinates: North 47 1635 / West 0 2135 From Angers follow the sign to Cholet/Poitiers, then take the D748 to Brissac-Quincé. At the roundabout at Brissac you will see a Leclerc supermarket, take the 3d exit on the D761 towards Doué-la-Fontaine., pass through the next village Les Alleuds, after the sign Saulgé-l'Hopital, take the exit Noyant-la-Plaine. When you get to Noyant-la-Plaine go straight on at the little roundabout then take the first left by the telephone box, Manoir des Rosiers is the second on the right.
