Interaction with guests
I live away from the cottage, so my interaction is all online and on the phone with guests. We have our property manager Harry who lives nearly next door who can be around to help, he cuts the lawn and takes care of the place while we aren't there. Guests will receive a code to enter the cottage. We do have a camera on the exterior parking area to monitor as well!

To say we enjoyed our weekend stay at Erica and Steve’s cottage isn’t saying enough! It is clean, private and very comfortable. It feels like home away from home except with a beautiful lake view, fresh Northern air and the perfect fire pit to roast...More

We had a great time at this cute, clean, cottage! We stayed for our anniversary and had an amazing time cooking great dinners, BBQ'ing breakfast in the knee deep snow on the patio and going for nice long, snowy, wintery walks with our dog Blu....More

About the neighbourhood
Whitestone Lake is a fantastic lake to enjoy. It is large enough to accomodate water skiiers and tubers, and yet quiet enough for kayakers and paddleboarders. The neighbourhood is quiet, other people cottaging and a few locals. Nearby you can get to Dunchurch for some great little breakfast and dinner spots, as well as ice cream and local variety stores. Parry Sound is your best bet for close by major amenities, which is about 20 minutes away.
Getting around
You will want to have a car for sure, and in the winter months be sure it is 'snow ready' as there may be some snow to contend with! We have someone snow plow but it can still be slippery. In the summer you can use a boat to explore the lake. The Dunchurch Marina rents them if you don't have one yourself! You can also bike or walk along the road outside the cottage to explore the area a bit!

How to get there
It is pretty easy to get to the cottage with GPS. Canning Road is a fairly easy to find road, and the cottage has a bright red tin roof making it stand out.
Just to be sure though!
Take the 400N, to exit 231 to HWY 124. Follow that road for 62km, then take a right onto Balsam Rd. After 32km turn left onto Canning Road, and after 2.1km the destination is on your right (on the corner of Canning Rd and Bear's Paw). Enjoy!
