The house is located in a lovely flowery street, awarded the „Most beautiful island street“ title on more than one occasion. Everything is at your fingertips in Osor. Whether you go for a stroll along the city walls, or decide to explore Bijar Bay, a pine forest, or ruins of a monastery, no destination is more than five minutes away. Absence of noise and traffic makes Osor very attractive to families with small children. Villa Lana is a three storey family home. Its 180-square meter size and a large garden make it an ideal choice for two families, or a group of friends. Six rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a toilet, all equipped for a year-round stay await guests. Electric powered central heating and a fireplace secure the warmth and the atmosphere even on a windy, colder day. However, such are rare, as Osor is blessed with the mild Mediterranean climate. Two large living rooms are pleasantly cool even on hot and sultry days. Equipped with Mediterranean style sofas, a desk, card table, satellite TV and Wi-Fi connection, as well as a bamboo recliner favored by all who indulge in afternoon naps, or siesta. If you feel like sunbathing and catching a tan quickly, the first-floor living room exits into a flower clad terrace, ideally positioned to catch the rays. If it is a shade and coolness you crave, a retractable sunscreen turns the terrace into a shaded oasis, perfect for reading sessions, or cocktail sipping until sundown. There are four bedrooms on the first and second floor. One with a king-size bed, the other three with two single beds. Each floor has its own bathroom. There is also a toilet on the ground floor and an extra shower in the garden. The kitchen is large, spacious and lavishly equipped. It exits into a herb part of the garden, offering an easy access to cooking ingredients, as well as a touch of inspiration. Just reach through the window, or step into a garden and transfer the fragrant aromas of mint, basil, thyme, oregano, chives, sage or rosemary onto your plate. The 340-square meter garden is surrounded by a high stone wall, offering a true sense of privacy to the residents. Tiled terraces round the house, with deck chairs, a barbecue and a large dining table beneath a wine pergola on one side, and for the recreation loving guests, table tennis on the other. A lovely palm tree is the centerpiece of the green part of the garden, accompanied by lavender, wisteria and tecoma bushes, an old olive tree, lilac, rose and many more sweet smelling flowers. In the springtime, when the garden is in full bloom, the multitude of colors and fragrances is nothing short of stunning. A refreshing swim and the beach are less than two minutes’ walk. The market or a cafe are just fifty steps away, as well as town's four restaurants, the museum and the cathedral. Three free of charge parking lots are located about 200 meters from the house, so reaching Villa Lana by car is easy. Guests arriving by boat can moor safely in the nearby small marina. Osor is an ancient town with a rich history, reaching 4000 years in the past. Once a major Roman port in the Adriatic and the largest town of the archipelago, it's location is enviable even today. Half way between the towns of Cres and Losinj, this little place is an excellent starting point for island excursions. Contact us for all the insider information about the surrounding places' curiosities, bicycle routes, hidden coves and anything else you might be interested in. Let us not forget the most important piece of information for hikers and nature lovers! Just across the bridge between Cres and Losinj islands starts a trail leading up the Osorscica hill – the guardian of Osor. Televrin summit is 588 meters high and offers a unique view of the entire archipelago and a photo opportunity of a lifetime. Visit Villa Lana and discover this tiny town nestled under a starry sky; a perfect spot for enjoying your vacation and one you will soon wish to return to.More

Villa Lana could not have been more perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 children, ages 10-13. It's situated in center of the tiny village of Osor; the sea is just a few steps away, along with a small grocer, cafe', produce stand,...More

About the neighbourhood
Cres is one of the largest Croatian islands, with length of 66 and width of 12 kilometers. Known far and wide for its diverse flora with no less than 1400 plant groups! The island is blessed with a mild Mediterranean climate, making it a perfect place for a summer vacation. The cuisine of Cres is best known for localy grown foods, most importantly lamb specialities, dairy products, olive oil and wild asparagus. Every visitor should taste herb marinated lamb under the bell with potatoes.
Getting around
The house is located 50m from main square, in a very beautiful, but very narrow island street, innacessible by car. Two parking lots are located 150 meters from the house (one by the canal and one on the main road, by the town entrance). Both offer free of charge parking. If swimming and diving around untouched nature and beauty sounds like fun, why not rent a boat and go for a trip around Osor? Beaches, islands, bays, lagoons - dozens of real gems are in the vicinity, reachable in just half an hour of nice panoramic ride on the waves. 5,4 meter long wooden boat powered by a 20hp inboard Volvo Penta engine with an auxiliary Suzuki engine awaits you in the private berth, just 100 meters from the House Lana. Price for one day is €60 euros,
