About the neighbourhood
This cottage makes a very sensible base from which to explore the Cotswolds. The National Trust and English Heritage have many houses and gardens in the area. Great Chalfield Manor and The Courts in Holt are only three miles away. The beautiful Lacock village (a favourite for film and TV producers for its picturesque streets and historic cottages) is a 25 minute drive away and Castle Combe is always worth a visit any time of year. You will find Stonehenge and Longleat Safari park are very close by.
How to get there
Bradford on Avon is a very easy 20 minute drive from the M4 from the North or a 10 minute drive off the A36 from the South. When you arrive at the cottage there is plenty of free parking. But please note there is no parking immediately outside the house. There are direct trains to Bradford on Avon from London Waterloo, else take the train from London Paddington and change at Bath. Either route should take no more than two and a half hours.
