Two large bi-fold doors open from the dining area onto the expansive deck for alfresco dining, sunbathing, cocktails at sunset or access to the beach. The deck can also be accessed via large sliding doors from both the master bedroom and lounge.
The house is situated on a private quarter acre section with a pathway to the beach at the end of the garden.
With the easiest access to the reef on the island you can explore the marine life at your leisure when the tide is low.
The main town of Avarua, with shops & market is just 4 minutes drive away. The Sailing Club and popular Muri Beach 9 minutes drive in the opposite direction. The bus will stop roadside.

Excellent facilities and well located between town and tourist spots
Seaspray is very clean, spacious and well appointed. It is good to be in the middle of town and tourism but you do need a car to get around.

Yes, we recommend transport even though the bus stops roadside and goes around the island every hour 7am to 11pm Monday to Saturday. It is so much more convenient if you have your own car and it allows you to visit less accessible places on the island via the back roads.

Relaxing, peaceful beach retreat
This lovely home was perfect for our mini family reunion. The beds were very comfortable and the two bathrooms were most appreciated. The vila was airy, bright and welcoming.
The beach was just past the end of the lawn but not great for walking along. However beautiful and walkable beaches were only minutes away.
I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Brilliant
Beautiful, airy, spacious, private, modern and beachside, makes this villa a "must" accommodation. Situated between Avarua and Muri was a plus. Our stay at the villa was a "thumbs up" by the whanau. However, the refrigerator was also used as our "pantry" due to the ants. Not a biggy but yeah.... Overall, a brilliant place to stay. Thanks Dorothea

Those dreaded tiny ants are common in coastal areas and are uninvited guests when it rains or when there is a drought and are attracted to any crumb left out...good thinking to use the fridge for food or sealed container in the pantry. I know there has been a lot of rain in Raro the past month or so. Will see to them!!

Another wonderful stay in Rarotonga.
The Villa is well appointed with all the amenities. Large verandah out front with big table and 6 chairs and deck chairs. We lived in this area for most of our visit, and the bar b que was fantastic when we didn't want to leave. Close to Muri and also town for snorkeling and cafes. If you walk a minute each way on the beach you hit the sand , I liked the right way walk the best and you never see anyone. A restful holiday did like having the books and a few dvd's when we had a stormy day. Saying that our ice creams melted before we ate them.

Fantastic!
Came from Sydney and had a fantastic 1 week stay with my wife and daughter. Great communication with Owner and Manager of property regarding general property inquiries etc..
Clean house with fresh linen and towels on arrival. Even left fresh flowers, milk and bread in the fridge! Place is modern with a nice ocean breeze otherwise fans were fine. Had all the general amenities, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, washing machine, bbq etc...
Chickens and roosters would occasionally run around on backyard which was entertaining. They have reef shoes available if you want to go walk out on rocky/coral beachfront. Not really ideal for small kids to swim but there are plenty of beaches by to swim/snorkal
The only thing not working was the Wifi which I needed for work, but wasn't a big deal as I used a prepaid data/call sim card from telecom.
Location was perfect for us as it was halfway to the main town of Avarua and also Muri where my sisters wedding was. Couple of close shops by but would recommend hiring a scooter or car. to get around. Place was perfect for our needs that we even extended for another week for my parents!
In general, ideal for group of friends or small family/older people who want a bit more peace away from the main tourist areas

Highly recommended
Spent a week in this villa - everything you need for a comfortable stay and nice touches like fresh welcoming flowers, bread and milk in fridge. House is well ventilated and modern. It's a bit away from the main tourist areas, which we thought was a plus, but everything is easy driving distance, and local shops within walking distance. Due exceedingly rocky beach we never swam out front but view is lovely and so is the sound of the waves - something those based on the lagoon don't get. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay for a family or friends house share.

We have just added an outdoor picnic table closer to the beach which will provide a closer view of any passing whales during months of July to October, and of canoeists paddling past during the annual Vaka Eiva event in November.
The pathway to the beach has been improved and there was a lovely sandy patch there last week, though that frequently changes with the surf continually altering the coastline.

Tropical Heaven
The house was very well appointed, with everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Except of course a good sort to do the cooking! Nelson the dog was a great mate to have around, and a good garbage disposal as well. I hope his owners don't feed him too. The layout of the house is great and the high raked ceilings give an airy feeling and the fans do a great job cooling the place down. The house is not all that easy to find, especially if you don't print out Dorothea's directions and try to remember them. (Der!). A sign out the front would help though.
My only want would be for a larger BBQ, as it is probably only meant for two people. Other than that, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and I would recommend to anyone. Dorothea does a great job and is so easy and friendly to deal with. As is Louis the property manager who helped us relocate to our other accommodation after our stay here, then again to the airport. What a great bloke he is.

Thanks for your review Wayne. Glad you found the place without a print out of my directions! An increase in petty theft of tourist accommodations on the island is the main reason we don't have a sign out on the road- the neighbours sign is handy! I'll make a point of asking guests to print out the directions in future.
The baby Q weber BBQ is supposed to feed up to 6 people!! Will look to upgrade to a bigger one when we have to replace it next. Glad you enjoyed your stay. All the best. Dorothea

About the neighbourhood
Seaspray Beach Villa is in Karekare which is close to the village of Matavera. There is close proximity to the coral reef from the shore providing easy access to the coral reef at low tide -so pack your sand-shoes for a reef walk. You can also get a closer view of passing whales (July-September) canoeist paddling by or fishing boats. Explore the beach for shells & coral or try rod fishing in the lagoon.
The Love Cafe a short walk away makes great coffee.
Getting around
Enjoy a leisurely walk on the inland road (closer to the mountains). Visit the market in town on Saturday mornings...4 mins drive away. A bus travels around the island every hour and will stop at the roadside in front of the property.
For convenience we recommend hiring a rental vehicle so you can see as much of the island as possible & make quick trips to the supermarket in town if necessary.

How to get there
Arrival transfers from the airport can be arranged for you whatever time you arrive.. For security reasons we chose to use the one transfer company who offer good rates for our guests. The driver knows where the house is and will either let you in on arrival or tell you where the key is, unless the manager is already there.
Arrival transfers cost $15 per adult without flowers or $20 per adult with flower eis (leis) and approximately half price for children and no charge for infants unless a separate seat is required,
