Weeping Willow cottage is a superb hideaway, the perfect place for a tranquil holiday in a beautiful part of France. There is feeling of being in deepest, rural France and yet it is an easy drive of under two hours to the Channel ports from here and there are two easily accessible local airports. It is only a five minute drive to Gorron the friendly local town and just two minutes by car to our lovely local village with its equally lovely local bar and restaurant.
The cottage is old and quirky with a south facing terrace and large grounds including a half acre lake full of carp plus a little island where my ducks live.
There is also a field with swings and an above ground splash pool. There is a large open sided barn with table tennis and darts an orchard and seven acres of rough land and woods to wander in.
The cottage itself is homely...

Interaction with guests
I live next door, just along the huge terrace from the cottage. You are likely to at least see me most days as I take my dogs out for walks, feed the ducks and cats, collect eggs from the chickens and generally work in the garden. I try very hard not to disturb my guests but I'm there if you need my help. I have been asked to book tables in restaurants, make recommendations for places to visit and even help with buying decent wine! Some guests invite me to join them for drinks on the terrace or to join me on dog walks and even having a go on the sit on mower in the garden! The level of interaction is totally up to guests to decide. PS I also offer a baby sitting service!
