About the neighbourhood
A five minute drive will take you into the Centre of Vire where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and sporting activities, including Aquavire, bowling, boat hire off road cycle paths, beautiful walks, rivers, extensive forests and local markets. The location is ideally situated to visit the unique Abby on Mont Saint Michel, an amazing Benedictine abbey built on a granite peak out to sea, which receives more visitors each year than any other monument in France, except Versailles. The mont provides a breathtaking spectacle that can be reached by a causeway that links it to the mainland. Also the famous Bayeux Tapestry with its lovely Cathedral, Domfront and Fourges.
