A peace of heaven
Wow Wow Wow, what a place. So beautiful and relaxing. First the gite it self is amazing , comfortable and well equipped . So beautifully designed with nothing left to want. The pool is wonderful with some of the most incredible views over the valley. The pool being heated and cleaned every day was brilliant. Great places to go see and eat at are only a short drive away. The road up to gite is not for the nervous driver who’s scared of heights, but worth it if you can. Host were great, spoke good English but were discreet , always close by if you need them. All said one of the best and most beautiful places ever stayed

Un petit coin de paradis
Un lieu incroyable niché en haut d’une colline avec une vue imprenable sur les Causses. L’endroit idéal pour un séjour en amoureux pour ceux qui aiment le calme. Tout est parfait : le cadre, la qualité du gîte et l’accueil chaleureux du propriétaire. Un hébergement hors des sentiers battus comme on en trouve peu. Nous n’avons qu’une envie, y revenir !

Just fabulous
The best Gite we have ever stayed in. If you want a place that you feel you could live in, this is it. Le Colombier is a dream property in terms of: art, design, environment, comfort, style, restfulness, views and mountain air. But its not for people who need to be near facilities (the nearest village shop is about 8 miles away in Nant) or for nervous drivers. The road up from the Dourbie valley is narrow single track and needs to be driven with care. But its also breathtaking and fun for serious mountain bikers and lovely walks directly from the property. You will also have fun watching Michel's collection of DVDs ('Cezar' awards). Have fun and enjoy your time in St Veron, as much we did. Chris and Denise

Ravissement garanti !
Nous voilà redescendus de notre petit nuage, notre nid d'aigle, d'un coin de paradis ... sans doute un peu tout cela à la fois. Le Colombier est une merveille de gîte au charme fou dans un endroit improbable. Vue époustouflante, tranquillité assurée, déconnection totale. Que du bon ! Que du beau ! L'aménagement des lieux est parfait, alliant confort et authenticité avec un goût certain. Rien n'a été laissé au hasard tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. La piscine est tout simplement délicieuse . Merci à Michel pour l'accueil chaleureux et le soin apporté à tous ces petits détails qui ravissent les vacanciers que nous sommes.

Séjour parfait !
Séjour parfait, endroit typique et reposant. Le cadre est incroyable avec l'impression d'être seuls au monde.... Le gite est bien décoré, rien à redire sur les prestations (salle de bain coquette, cuisine tout équipée, literie EXTRA confortable , peignoirs mis à disposition,...) Même en plein hiver nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse et du panorama incroyable. De plus les hôtes sont charmants... Bref, a refaire en été sans hésitation !

Awesome!
Whilst we had unseasonably cool weather, but then who hasn't throughout Europe this year!, le colombier is perfection for a couple with views to die for and a fantastic abundance of wild birds - vultures golden eagles etc! The pool is just out of this world and Michel is very obliging. One of the top destinations for people wanting tranquility.

Just perfect
This property is situated at the top of a very steep hill in the small village of St Veran. As soon as we were shown round the property by Michel we were both stunned how beautiful the cottage was. We were looking for somewhere where we could chill and relax and this was the ideal location. It overlooks the valley which was a joy to look out on every morning. We went and visited some local beautiful villages such as Peyre but as the weather was hot we spent most of the time relaxing by the pool. Michel and Chantal were there when we needed them but were not intrusive. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you could need.

Incontournable !!
Merveilleusement accueilli dans un gîte très coquet avec à disposition l'essentiel pour passer un excellent séjour (ballade, piscine, barbecue...) Le village de Saint Véran offre un point de vue magnifique sur toute la vallée, où seule la rivière de la Dourbies se fait entendre. Nous gardons un merveilleux souvenir de ce séjour. A renouveler et à recommander.

An amazing place hidden away in the Aveyron...
This small house is hidden away in the very small hamlet of Saint Véran. The house is perfect for 2 persons who are looking for peace and quiet in this part of France, the Aveyron. There is a private swimming pool (not overlooked), a beautiful outside kitchen, an amazing terrace and then there's the inside of the house which is finished in a very high standard, not your typical rental home. The pictures actually reflect what you get in real life. I can only recommand this house enourmously.
