The spacious one bedroom cottage, offers a king bed and a large sofa bed for children, a cosy wood burner and a fully fitted kitchen with top of the range appliances. Recently refurbished. Perfect for dog owners, walkers or wildlife enthusiasts, the surrounding countryside offers adventures in every direction. The spacious one bedroom cottage, offers a king bed and a large sofa bed for children, a cosy wood burner and a fully fitted kitchen with top of the range appliances. Recently refurbished. The cottage is located at the end of a farm track and surrounded by fields and moorland in every direction. There are 9 acres of private land including a 2.5 acre enclosed field for letting dogs off the lead. Blackside Cottage has recently been refurbished. On the ground floor there is a large living room with 2 sofas. One is a sturdy king-sized sofa bed, which is ideal for children. There is a 32 inch smart TV with freeview and a Netfilx account set up. There is also a cosy wood burner that heats the whole cottage. All logs are supplied and if you run out just let us know and we will bring more. There is a great sized kitchen with everything you would need for cooking any meal, as well as modern appliances. There is a dishwasher and washer dryer as well as a Nespresso coffee machine, large fridge freezer and state of the art Smeg cooker with electric hob and oven. If there is anything we have missed, just ask! There is a stable door that is great in the summer to keep dogs inside. Upstairs there is the bedroom with a luxurious king sized bed and bathroom with huge bath and hand held shower. Just off the bedroom on the half landing there is a large walk in wardrobe with shelves and hanging space (with hangers). There is also a cupboard with hoover, iron/board etc. The cottage has central heating controlled by a thermostat and a 250 litre hot water tank with hot water on demand 24 hours a day. It is a very peaceful location with plenty of wildlife just outside the front door. Pheasants, squirrels, hares, deer, owls, house martins can all be seen on a regular basis. Blackside Cottage is one of the highest properties in East Ayrshire and as such there are stunning views of Arran and even the "Paps" of Jura which are over 70 miles away. Blacksidend Hill is a great walk and once you reach the summit, which is a gentle hour walk, you have amazing 360 degree views. We try and do our bit for the environment and we have installed solar panels, a wind turbine and storage battery which helps to reduce our dependence on the grid. There is also great Wifi with in excess of 125 Mbs download speeds supplied by our Starlink satellite dish. There are 9 acres of private grounds for guests to enjoy, part of which is a 2.5 acres enclosed field which allows dogs to be let off the lead.
