Holiday Rental House
1 Hurstly Cottage is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. It is about midway between Lymington and Brockenhurst. Down a single track lane the cottage is set in a lovely, very private 1/2 acre garden, with areas of lawn and well established shrubs and borders. The cottage is lovely; Larger than it appears, it is superbly set up with all those important things that make for a great holiday including 2 sitting rooms so you have room to spread out when you want. The Kitchen is well equipped with an Aga and a traditional gas cooker and a microwave. There is a kitchen table so you can eat there or the Dining Room where there is a lovely large wooden table that has extra leaves to extend it up to seat 10 + people. Interaction with guests
We provide a welcoming bottle of wine and flowers. I try to be there to meet you on the day you arrive and live about 4 miles away so I'm on hand if there are any problems, which we seldom have. We can suggest lots of things to do and having lived and worked in and around the New Forest for many years we know the area intimately. We can also recommend restaurants and pubs locally so you can book prior to your stay. The gardener comes in once a week usually on Friday but other than that we will not disturb you during your holiday.

I am not sure this qualifies as a 'cottage' - it's a sizeable semi detached house in a residential road, so not particularly pastoral. However we found it clean, comfortable and spacious with plenty of kitchen equipment. The flowers and wine at the start were...More
