This Apartment is great for large groups of people – there are 6 separate beds (and we have been known to put an extra single in the lounge too to make 7) – so for golfing groups or those with large families it is ideal. The patio doors from the kitchen lead onto the front lawn with views down Lord Street (especially nice at night when all the trees are lit up). The apartments are great for a holiday by the sea, for visiting relatives or taking part in events in the area, especially Victoria Park! An ideal location for Southport's beach, parks, shops and dining. The living area and the two bedrooms are separated by a long corridor with coat hooks, cupboard space and a Family Bathroom off. Bedroom 1 is on the back overlooking a small grassed area and has built-in hanging space and storage area. Bedroom 2 is on the front of the building – and easily accommodates 4 single beds. This room also benefits from an ensuite shower room with sink and toilet. Bedroom 2 can be set up with Double + 2 Singles or Double + 3 Singles!

I stayed with my wife and 2 kids (10 and 12). Had a really great time in the apartment - it's really huge. Large living room/dining room - very comfortable. It came with everything you expect and then some. I couldn't recommend it highly enough....More

About the neighbourhood
Southport is known as 'England's Classic Resort', a Victorian town with a great deal of history and surrounded by golf courses. The famously wide, tree-lined Lord Street (which inspired the Parisian boulevards), with its stylish restaurants and shops ends with the perfectly situated Shelbourne apartments. As a seaside town, Southport has many attractions which are a must, such as Pleasureland, miniature railway and golf, bowling and Britain's second longest pier. The Marine Lake is particularly pretty and often hosts sailing events, whilst the beach is wide and large - perfect for a evening stroll along the sand. How to get there
Located at the southern end of Lord Street, the apartments are in an excellent location for transport, local buses to/from Preston and Liverpool stop on Lord Street, just outside the apartments. Southport train station is a 15 minute walk from the apartments with regular trains to Liverpool, Wigan and Manchester. There is also a taxi rank at the station for even easier travel to the apartments. Flights are available from easyjet and Ryanair to Liverpool John Lennon Airport; the airport has direct train links from Liverpool South Parkway to Southport. Manchester airport is also a single train journey away, there are hourly train services between Southport and Manchester Airport station.
