The flat is situated on the ground floor of Esplanade House which is a detached Victorian property. It is approximately 35 metres from the sand/shingle beach and close to many cafes, retaurants and nice pubs. It is a short walk from the town centre where there are many more shops and amenities.

These include the Hambrough, the famous Spyglass Inn on the Esplanade and the Royal Hotel which has two AA Rosettes for its food. Spectacular coastal walks can also be enjoyed from here, to Bonchurch, the undercliff and Shanklin in the east and to the lovely Steephill Cove and the renowned Botanical Gardens to the West.

Esplanade House is close to the harbour and blue flag beach, which are only two minutes walk away, with freshly caught fish, crab and lobster available daily from the harbour fishery.

Very well equipped and comfortable apartment, tastefully decorated. Plenty of room for two couples plus dog. Very informative booklet of local attractions and restaurants which was very helpful. Easy access to some wonderful walks on the cliffs. Ventnor is a good centre from which to...More

About the neighbourhood
Ventnor is a picturesque, Victorian town with many original buildings. It is less commercial than many other resorts on the island.
There are some fabulous coastal walks into Steephill Cove to the west, and to Bonchurch to the east.
There are plenty of excellent restaurants and some nice pubs and bars locally.
The beach is sandy with very fine shingle.
