Holiday Rental House
This comfortable, terraced house in Pakefield enjoys a lovely position overlooking a large grassed area to the beach and sea beyond. Having the footpath in front of the house means it's safe for children and cars don't block the view. The sand and pebble beach in front is only a few steps away. Pakefield is a quiet village just south of Lowestoft, a traditional sea side resort, with wide, sandy award winning beaches. These are within easy walking distance along the sea promenade lined with colourful beach huts. Lowestoft is also the home of the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park. A short drive takes you along the beautiful Suffolk heritage coast to Southwold, Walberswick, Minsmere, Dunwich and Aldeburgh. Norwich with its shops and historic attractions is within easy reach by car or train. Norwich with its shops and historic attractions is within easy reach by car or train. Oulton Broad, 2 miles, offers excellent facilities for boat trips on the Norfolk Broads. Shops 200 yards, pubs 100 yards. Parking at the rear of the house in a quiet cul-de-sac (off-road). Please note that we make every effort to maintain the property to a high standard and therefore regularly make improvements. In 2015 we purchased new mattresses and replaced the fridge-freezer with a new, larger one and installed a new washer-dryer. We have also updated the bathroom suite to include an electric shower over the bath and introduced free WIFI. The television in the lounge has been replaced with a larger screen flat screen TV (32') and there are new dining chairs and new garden furniture. We do hope you have a comfortable stay! Downstairs: Porch and hallway lead to: Lounge: One 3-seater settee, 2 armchairs, 32' flat-screen TV with Freeview, parquet flooring and coal effect gas fire, shelves with local books Back room: - well equipped kitchen with medium sized fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, washing/ drying machine, lino flooring - dining area with round dining table & chairs, dresser with games Sliding porch door leads from back room to enclosed back garden, mostly paved and with garden furniture. The front garden is a great place to sit and enjoy the view and any sun shine! Upstairs: Bathroom with toilet, sink and bath at the top of the stairs. There is an electric shower over the bath. Twin bedroom (back of the house) with two adult single pine beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside lamps Double bedroom with fantastic sea view, normal size double bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps Single bedroom with fantastic sea view, adult single bed, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe Upstairs is carpeted (except for the bathroom) The central heating and coal effect gas fire in the lounge mean the house is also very cosy in the colder months of the year. Location very good with eateries very close by. Coop shop 5 minutes walk also bus stops for either Lowestoft or Norwich. We didn’t use any of these this time as we have relatives and friends In the area.

This is a beautiful place for a holiday. Comfortable house, great views and lovely walks. We had brilliant weather and had a peaceful stay. It was nice opening the curtains in the morning and looking over at the sea and the church.

Very pleasant holiday home and location. A 'get away from it all' holiday. Close to amenities. Would highly recommend Jolly Sailors close by for a memorable meal.

Thank you for your comments. It was lovely to read that you enjoyed the collection of books at the house. The owners have always had an interest in the history of the area because of family connections. They have authored two books with historical photographs...More

About the neighbourhood
Pakefield is a small, peaceful village, just south of the larger town of Lowestoft, with its wide, sandy, award winning beaches. They are joined by a sea front esplanade, lined with beach huts, which makes for a pleasant stroll. The sea front also has plenty of places to enjoy an ice cream, or sit down for some fish and chips or a cup of tea. There is a putting green, adventure golf course, and the pier has an indoor roller-skating venue. The beach towards Kessingland has a very different atmosphere, as no houses line the wild cliffs. When one is not on the beach, the area has plenty of other things on offer for all ages. Taking a trip to Norwich by train is an experience in itself as the train route takes you through idyllic unspoilt countryside. There are picturesque villages and towns...
