Please be aware that this is a three-storey property in which the main lounge area is on the top floor, accessed via the staircase. If you’re bringing a car to Carlisle, you’ll be pleased to note that parking is available right outside the property.

Most people get here by car, with the city being just off the M6 motorway. But it’s just as easy to get here by train on the West Coast Mainline which has fast connections to London, Manchester and Birmingham to the south and Glasgow and Edinburgh to the north. Being so near the Lake District, the area attracts its fair share of walkers and cyclists. So if you’re packing your walking boots or bringing your bikes with you, you’ll find the townhouse close enough to all the region’s major attractions to allow you to access them easily on foot or using pedal power. But if you’d prefer something a little less energetic, buses stop regularly near The Sawmills and can whisk you off to local areas of interest.
