This gorgeous and modern designed apartment is perfect for a family of 4 or a group of friends or just a romantic couple looking for a convenient place to explore the city. Seven4 Apartment is bang in centre of the city (really good location) with fantastic views over the Amstel canal and some cute wobbly dutch houses. We stayed in this apartment for a few days in August 2018. It had everything one needed and it was clean, tidy and spacious. But the best thing about it was the location. So so central. We walked everywhere - we love walking - and...More

About the neighbourhood
Being right in the center you have all the tourist hotspots within a maximum 30 minute walk. The famous flower market and the Waterlooplein flea market are both within a 5 minute walk as is the Rembrandt museum, the house where the painter lived. Just over the canal and 2 minutes away is Rembrandtplein, a popular tourist square with the large cafe’s and terraces, bars, nightclubs and too many food options to mention. It also boasts life size statues from the famous ‘Night Watch’ painting by Rembrandt but this get quite busy so getting a nice photo is almost impossible unless your very early in the morning.
Dam square is also just a 10 minute walk with the Royal Palace, Madame Tussaud’s, and the posh department store De Bijenkorf.
Getting around
Legs. You can do a lot of walking in Amsterdam as it’s such a lovely city to walk around looking at the wobbly houses and canals. Wandering down the 9 streets or in the Jordaan, but if your brave enough hire a bike and you will see so much more. The city has excellent bike paths as you will soon find out. Just watch out for those silent devils as they come at you from all directions and don’t normally slow down. I really do not advice a car as driving in the center can be quite a challenge and then to park is a lot of money. Unless you plan to do day trips leave the car at ParknRide just outside the city.
Car not needed
How to get there
A taxi is the easiest but you can also take a train from Schiphol to Central Station and from there a taxi, or Tram 14 to Rembrandtplein or any metro to Waterlooplein. It is also possible to walk it in about 20-30 minutes from the train station,
