The Jordaan is the oldest area of Amsterdam, full of history, interesting architecture, and a great variety of shops and boutiques.

The Jordaan is well known for its special atmosphere, local caf'és/bars and many styles of restaurants. The best Dutch apple cake is just around the corner. Enjoy the local scenery and return to your Home Away from Home.

The Jordaan area offers the perfect mix of tranquil, residential streets and busy restaurants/bars, shops/markets and sights. Two supermarkets are situated just around the corner. There is a wide choice of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, and bars/cafes to sample the local atmosphere. Enjoy a pub meal in one of our Eetcafés, or book a table at a highly-rated restaurant. Visit the Hofjes, hidden courtyard dwellings in the area.
Getting around
Amsterdam is a walking city. Nothing is far away. The canal hop-on hop-off boat is 5 minutes away, and will take you past most of the major sights. If you do not want to walk, there a two trams to the major museums, both a short ride.

Airport: Schiphol Airport: 13.0 km
Railway: Amsterdam Central Station: 1.0 km
If you arrive at Schiphol Airport, trains runs every 15 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. From Central Station to the Jordaan, you can either walk, about 18 minutes, take taxi for about €9 or take bus 21 or bus 18 to the Marnix Swimming Pool. Then it is a short walk
