EXTERNAL DESCRIPTION

The Apartment is located in Via dei Servi, one of the most characteristic and evocative streets of Florence, between Piazza Duomo and Piazza S.S. Annunziata, two of the most beautiful squares of Florence. It is placed at the beginning of the street at very few steps from the Cathedral, in the pedestrian area surrounding the Duomo and the inner historical core of the city. The main artistic sites are very close to Via dei Servi and reachable on foot in few minutes. also is the railway station. There are four large windows looking onto Via dei Servi, offering a striking and enchanting point of view on the Dome designed and realized by Filippo Brunelleschi. The Apartment is located at the second floor (the third one in american designation) in an ancient building provided with an elevator very useful for people and suitcases. The building dated back the Renaissance period, it has been renovated in last years, preserving the original elements of the ancient florentine houses of the Renaissance. The Bargellini-Guarnieri Catalogue describes the building as simple but provided with "delicate cornici" on the facade. It has been built over more ancient houses owned by the Tedaldi family and in the middle of XVI Century it was owned by the florentine Biffi family, from which its name "Casa dè Biffi". Later, the building was owned by the Pagani family. At the level of the second floor the facade is decorated with a coat of arms, maybe coming from the Pagani family.

INTERNAL DESCRIPTION

The Apartment contains 2 wide double Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. It is 84 mq wide (904 sqft) and the ceiling 4 meters height (13.1 ft) is built with the original wooded beam. Furniture is a comfortable classic/modern stylish set coming from the family owners; they are authentic pieces from italian and international design. The Living Room (24 mq / 258 sqft) houses both a living area (bookshelf, TV/DVD, 1 sofa 2 single beds convertible), both a dining area with a modern cristal table with 6 sitting places. Two classical design carpets by modern hypoallergenic production enhance the environment, and many horse subjects english engravings dress up the walls. Two big windows overlook onto Via dei Servi and the Dome.The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with quality appliances: gas stove, extractor fan, traditional oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and many optionals (plates, pots, cutlery, glasses, cups, kettle, drip coffee maker, toaster and others). It contains a four places dinner table. In front of the kitchen there is a small laundry corner with a washing/dryer machine.Both Bedrooms are double rooms with queen-size beds. One is placed on Via dei Servi side overlooking onto the Cathedral and the Dome; the other is placed on the internal side, with a small terrace which overlooks onto a bright internal court. In the internal Bedroom there is a small ensuite bathroom provided with shower. The Bedroom is decorated with two big oil on canvas reproducing landscapes of San Miniato, a small historical tuscan town close to Florence, from which the family of the apartment ownership originates: that is the reason for the name of the apartment. It is equipped with a queen-size bed (160x200 cm / 63x78 in). The furniture is a modern interpretation of classical tuscan style by the famous italian Architect Giovanni Michelucci. The street side Bedroom has comfortable bamboo furniture, oriental paintings, and silk engravings. It is equipped with a queen-size bed (170x200 cm / 67x78 in).The master Bathroom is located between the two rooms and is Jacuzzi equipped. The Apartment is provided with internet connection and WiFi facilities.

NOTES

- CHECKIN/CHECKOUT DAYS. It is possible to Check in or Check out in any day of the year, with the following exception: 25th, 26th and 31th of December; 1st of January; each Easter Sunday. It is possible to arrive before and to leave after these dates.
- CITY TAX: at the moment, €2.5/person/night for the first 7 nights; it will be paid Euro cash at Check in.
- DAMAGE DEPOSIT. A refundable security Deposit of $ 300 is managed and refunded by the site.
- RENTAL AGREEMENT. A rental agreement, valid by italian laws and fiscal rules, will be signed in double copy by the owner and one of the guests at Check in.

Suggesting authentic local restaurants, and markets and a few authentic florentine shops. Available during the stay for any additional information and any need.

i can only join all those who already expressed their full satisfaction. Eleonora is so nice, helpful, thorough and patient. there is no better location in Florence. the apartment is fully equipped - beyond and above, intimate, homely. the smaller bath room could be upgraded, but the main bathroom is superb and more than spacious. i have been there twice.,...

Stunning apartment one minute to the Duomo. Furnished beautifully. Extras such as tea,coffee,welcome pack of wine and biscotti. Extra linen as necessary. Air conditioning in major rooms. Lift. Eleonora is the perfect hostess. Generous. Helpful and available if needed. We stayed 9 days and used it as a base for train or bus day trips to Lucca, Chianti, Bologna as...

This apartment was perfect for us from the beginning. We arrived earlier than expected and needed a place to wait with our luggage for the appointed time to meet Eleanora. Steps away from the apartment was a sidewalk cafe where we could have lunch and keep our luggage close by. The apartment is charming with it's antique features and also...
