Humphries Cross is a large Edwardian country house in an idyllic location, set in 15 acres of gardens and grounds surrounded by farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Victorian portion of the house, which was the original farmhouse, dates back to the early 1800's. This has now been separated from the main house and recently refurbished into three stylish and tranquil self catering apartments. THE GRANARY APARTMENT The Granary which has been recently renovated to give any guest a comfortable stay, is situated on the ground floor of the converted Victorian farmhouse and has easy access to the gardens and grounds. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer. The bedroom and kitchen have lovely views over the gardens. The Granary also has its own private parking space. All linen, white fluffy towels, free WIFI, tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge, along with a welcome basket awaits you. Please feel free to walk around our 15 acres and enjoy the countryside and wildlife or relax on one if our benches in the shared garden and stable yard. One well behaved dog is welcome with guests, but please do not leave them unattended in the apartment or allow them on the furniture. We have a proffesional cleaning company that clean the apartment before every stay.More

Humphries Cross is our family home. You are free to explore the grounds during your stay and truly make yourselves at home in The Granary. Whether you are looking for a relaxing few days away to unwind or somewhere to stay for a few weeks to explore the beautiful local countryside and the Medieval Cinque Port Town of Rye, we are always happy to welcome you. Rye and the surrounding villages are also extremely dog friendly, from the beaches to the pubs and cafes. Rye even has a pet shop which sells ice cream for dogs! Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting ideal for us and our dog. Kitchen had everything needed and a gorgeous welcome pack not just for human sake but for dog too. Close to Rye and Camber there is plenty to do as well a slovely walks...More

Amazing place. Really well presented and clean. Welcome pack provided was excellent. Would definitely go again if visiting the area in the future.

Surrounded by lovely countryside so perfect for our dog ,rye close by which had some dog friendly Cafe's and the Bell at Iden welcomes dogs! We appreciated​ the welcome box from Lucy and Benji enjoyed his treats will definitely come back.

Found the Granary easily with good directions from the owner, welcomed buy Stuart who showed us the accommodations and the large areas where we could walk the dog. Area lovely an abundance of pubs with good food. Little hamper from the owner very nice touch.

About the neighbourhood
* Humphries Cross is in Iden Village in Rye - a pretty village mentioned in the doomsday book, with its dog friendly pub, local shop, post office and church, all within walking distance from the property. The annual Summer fete is always popular. * The centre of the Medieval Cinque Port town of Rye is only 2 miles away. Once surrounded by sea, it is a fortified hilltop town with cobbled streets and well known for its antique shops, tea rooms, art galleries, restaurants, Nature Reserve, fresh fish caught from the quayside and lovely cycle routes along the coastline. It has weekly markets and popular festivals such as Rye Bay Scallop Festival, Medieval Siege of Rye and Bonfire Parade with flaming torches and fire works.
Getting around
A car is recommended but some of our guests like to walk into rye. We also have a bus service that stops at the end of our driveway taking you to Tenterden and Rye. Rye train station has trains to Hastings and Ashford, giving you easy access to London. There is also a bus station with bus routes to many of the surrounding areas.
