This pretty holiday cottage set at the end of a country lane, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, is an ideal place for two people to relax. The restored property is perfect for those wanting peace and quiet in a rural location. Five acres of land surround the cottage and there is a pretty garden with sunny patios to both front and rear. The English owner's holiday home is adjacent to the property.

The cottage comprises an open plan living and dining area on the ground floor with a well-equipped kitchen. There is a wood-burning stove provided which is ideal during the Autumn months. The bathroom with bath and shower is at the rear of the cottage, also on the ground floor.

Stairs lead up to the double bedroom with wonderful views from the bedroom windows.

There is flexibility as to the changover day. Saturday preferred, but other days considered. Linen and towels are provided. Prices include gas for cooking, firewood. 100 Kwh of electricity per week is provided between October and April and 50Kwh between May and September. Electricity used in excess of this will be charged at 0.20 euros per Kwh and deducted from the damage deposit.

The cottage should be left as it is found - clean and tidy. Cleaning materials are provided. For those not wishing to clean, a cleaning service is available at a cost of £40 with this amount payable at the time of paying the balance.

The cottage is situated in a rural location, surrounded by fields and woodland. Balleroy, the nearest small town, is a ten-minute drive from the property, with its famous 17th century chateau which periodically holds a hot-air-ballooning festival. Within fifteen minutes' drive of the cottage lies the beautiful forest of Cerisy with countless walks and cycle routes within it. The D-Day landing beach of Omaha is within a thirty minute drive from the cottage, with the beautiful American Cemetery overlooking the sandy beach. Further along the coast lies the town of Arromanches with the 360 degree cinema, depicting the events of D-Day.

Further afield, Mont-St-Michel is 1½ hours drive away, and should you fancy a day in Paris, a regular train service runs from Bayeux taking only 2 hours...
