The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of an old historic listed building beside Edinburgh Castle.

Old Town 163 has been newly refurbished, tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

While many of the original features have been retained the apartment has been fitted out with all modern conveniences
to make this apartment a unique and comfortable place to stay.

The sitting room is a lovely space to relax in and can also sleep two people on a comfortable sofa bed.From the sitting room windows the view is south facing across the old town to the Pentland Hills beyond.

There are two spacious bedrooms,one with king size four poster bed, the other with two single beds both bedrooms have hand carved dark wood furniture.

Interaction with guests
I like to meet guests on arrival to ensure that they know how everything works in the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions that guests may have. On the odd occasion when it is not possible to meet guests there is a key safe system that we use. Unless I am on holiday myself I am always available to help if need be . The part I enjoy most about running a holiday apartment is meeting the guests.

Mary is a welcoming host and greeted us most warmly.We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh, the apartment is perfectly situated and allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the Edinburgh Fringe. Well equipt with all modern utilities, I would recommend a stay here.

After an horrendous journey to Edinburgh due to lightning strikes on the railway lines, my friend and I arrived at the apartment five hours later than we had planned. On entering the building, we thought it looked dark and unwelcoming...But please don't let that put...More

This superb location is within a few metres from Edinburgh Castle, The Historic Grass Market,Victoria St with it's many speciality shops and restaurants.Princess Street,The Bridges and George Street are a shoppers dream within walking distance or short bus trip. For those who like some green space Princess St Gardens is a 5min walk away. Calton Hill, the expansive Meadows Park and also Arthurs Seat are all nearby. Edinburgh has a excellent transport system with frequent buses to most locations. Try our new trams! Edinburgh is an excellent base to explore the rest of Scotland with many bus tours available leaving from the High St and 163.

The best way to see what Edinburgh has to offer is by foot. The apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town within walking distance of all the major attractions.

The apartment is located on Johnston Terrace number 16 apartment 3. Johnston Terrace runs parallel with the top of the Royal Mile and is adjacent to Edinburgh Castle.
It is a short walk from Edinburghs Waverly Train Station and St Andrews Square Bus Station.
There is an excellent Bus and Tram service from Edinburgh Airport to Edinburgh City Centre.
Please note there is no private car parking facilities.
