Shorepark is a three bedroom two bathroom cottage which sleeps six.
Bedroom 1 and 2 have double beds,Bedroom 3 has two 2 single beds which can be turned into a super King if required
The property has stunning views sitting just stones throw from the river Nith on the edge of Glencaple Village which has been designated a National Scenic Area. The old part of the cottage is complemented by a beaches type extension with picture post card views.

One year on December 2016 - Well how things fly when you are enjoying yourself. It is a year since we first advertised our holiday cottage and a year next week since we received our first guests. We have welcomed all kinds of visitors for sporting events, work etc. but mostly people who just want to get away from it all and look out of the window.

About the neighbourhood
The Caerlaverock area has ancient woodland, pastures, mud flats and marshes and the tidal river Nith with its fascinating shifting sands contributing to the magic of the area. The location of the cottage is Ideal for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers.

Nearby there is an internationally renowned National Nature Reserve and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Centre with tearoom (5.6 miles) which welcomes thousands of migrating birds to the area each year as well as many other interesting birds. There is also a Medieval Castle (3.5 miles) and the Wardlaw Hill the site of an ancient Iron Age Fort with commanding views of the Solway.
Getting around
There is a bus service from the village to Dumfries.
When in Dumfries you can get busses to both Edinburgh and Glasgow and beyond.
There is a railway station at Dumfries
You can hire a car at the railway station.
Nearest airport is Carlisle which will open for flights from Dublin, Belfast and Southend in September 2018.

It is advisable to travel by car to the cottage.
When you enter the village from Dumfries you drive past the Nith Hotel on the left,the Village shop is on the Quay on the right continue along the road for 500yards where the last lamp post is and the cottage is there. The parking is located up the drive.
There is a bus from the village route 6A Dumfries-Glencaple-Caerlaverock. Newcastle, Edinburgh and Prestwick Airports are all of a similar distance to the property.
