Heron Lodge is set in a lovely peaceful, rural location on the edge of Mabie Forest - a tranquil and peaceful location surrounded by beautiful countryside, with breathtaking views of surrounding countryside and Mabie Forest.

This luxury lodge is privately owned and can accommodate 4 guests in comfort with all modern amenities for a great self catering holiday break. Heron Lodge is very well equipped and pride ourselves in presenting this property in immaculate order to enable our guests to have a very comfortable stay all year round.Set in the former grounds of Cairnyard House on an uncommercialised site. Extensive leaflets of things to do and visit in and around Dumfries and Galloway and beyond located wicker baskets lodge bookcase. Along with booklets and info. Tourist Information office located Whitesands area Dumfries town centre. Ideal area for coastal , forestry walks. Great mountain bike area 7 states routes located Mabie forest and Dalbeattie town wood a few miles away. Dumfries town historical places of interest... Robert Burns trail, camera obscure observatory, Caveralock Castle, Drumlanrigg Castle, Threave Castle and gardens. Gretna Green ,outlet shopping, Glasgow Edinburgh day trips
