Holiday Rental House -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England
What a place to stay - not only is this the oldest property in Stratford upon Avon, it's actually owned by descendants of Shakespeare himself! Dating back to the 15th Century this historic, characterful and incredibly beautiful building is bang in the centre, located approx 1 minute level walk from Stratford's High Street.

Step off the main street, through a private walkway and suddenly the town is behind you, and you enter a small courtyard shared with a few other historic homes, peace! Inside, it is meticulously presented - smart furnishings and colours mix well with incredible period features to create a light home ideal for families as much as couples. The kitchen has everything you need, should decide to 'stay in' and cook (why would you...?!). The cosy living area has seating for four people with a 42in wall mounted...

About the neighbourhood
When you come and stay in Stratford upon Avon it is easy to see why so many people come here and visit it again and again - it really is an English gem in every sense. And when you stay at Mason's Court, not only are staying WITHIN history you are surrounded by it everywhere you walk!

Naturally a visit to Stratford upon Avon is only complete when you hunt and find more about the English poet and playwright that makes it famous - William Shakespeare. Shakespeare's Birthplace allows you to visit the house where the world's most famous playwright was born and grew up to discover more about his early years.
Getting around
Other must see Shakespeare locations include Hall's Croft (home to William's daughter), Nash's House and New Place (the last chapter in his life), Anne Hathaway's cottage (a romantic setting) and Mary Arden's Farm (the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother).

Once you've digested a full diet of Shakespeare's history you can then look at and enjoy the many famous events, including Shakespeare's birthday celebrations, but there are many wide and varied events being staged throughout the year. Then there is the famous theatre The Royal Shakespeare Company - wow there is so much culture here you will have to return as it is nigh on impossible to fit it all in in just one visit!!
Car advised
How to get there
The property is very central - it's within walking distance of the train station. If you decide to drive, you'll have the flexibility of exploring the Cotswolds, and Warwick Castle etc. There is off-street parking for one vehicle, but please be aware that there is a car park just across the street if needed.
