This is definitely our most favourite place to have a break in Somerset. Our first stay in this lovely barn was around New Years's Eve 2010, followed by two other stays (Spring 2010 and New Year's Eve 2013). Recently, in March 2016, we were there...More

About the neighbourhood
The Beanacre Barn is located on the edge of the village of Binegar on top of the Mendip Hills in a peaceful secluded cottage garden. The village pub is a short walk away. Binegar is 4 miles north of Wells, the smallest city in England. Wells is a charming bustling town. The spectacular Cathedral stands alongside the Bishop's Palace and gardens, (the source of the natural water spring which gives the city its name), at the top of the High Street with its range of modern mostly independent shops. An excellent 'farmer's market' is held here every Wednesday and a general market on Saturday. Bath and Bristol are both only 13 miles away
