Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Outstanding!
Staying at Chalice Lodge was an absolute pleasure and we’d happily go back and would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the town centre. Beautiful apartment, clean, cosy, warm and exceptionally well-equipped. Julie the owner was incredibly friendly and very helpful. If you want to stay in Glastonbury - stay at Chalice Lodge!

super cosy, great location
really enjoyed my stay here, super cosy with a great winter view of the tor ( sadly will be hidden by trees in spring/summer) the flat is right on the high street about a 10 min walk to the goddess house, and 15 mins to the chalice wells. I've stayed in a few houses/flats in Glastonbury and this was the 1st one in which it really felt like you was in Glastonbury, as had lots of wonderful photos of the area and just captured the feel of Glastonbury with bright fun colours. the owner is really nice too, sadly my bus was very late arriving and i worried about getting in but thankfuly it was no problem at all as she had arranged for a friend to let me in and even at 2330 at night there wasn't a word of complate and a smiling face to meet me which was wonderful after travelling 9 and a half hours. i'm very much looking forward to returning to this perfectly formed flat.

Perfect central apartment
My friend and I have just stayed here for 4 nights and were so impressed by both the apartment and our lovely hosts, Julie and Paul. They greeted us warmly when we arrived and helped to carry our bags upstairs. ( The stairs are a bit steep, but there is a handrail. ).The apartment really is as good as it looks on the photos. It was absolutely spotless and our hosts had provided so many thoughtful little additions, that you really only need to bring yourselves and your clothes. All cleaning materials are provided, with a tea towel and small towel in the kitchen. Towels, flannels and dressing robes , shower gel and shampoo ,are all provided and there are extra toilet rolls in the cupboard. There is a washing machine, a little unit to dry your washing on, plus an iron and ironing board. The brightly coloured umbrellas are such a welcome extra, plus there is a hairdryer and even a torch in the bedroom. I normally find it difficult to sleep in a strange bed, but this was so comfortable I had no trouble whatsoever. Plus the flat is so quiet and peaceful....not like staying in a noisy pub! My friend slept on the sofa bed, and she also slept well. The TV with the addition of Netflix and YouTube was great, plus there is a lovely selection of books on the area, to help you decide which places to visit during your stay.Being in the centre of town is also a great bonus, as everything is within walking distance. Julie and Paul have put a lot of time and effort into making this apartment such a lovely place to stay in, and we shall certainly be recommending it to all our friends.

Perfect little getaway!
Visited Chalice Lodge for 3 nights and could have very happily stayed a lot longer. The lodge had everything we could have wished for, and more. Made good use of the smart tv/Netflix/WiFi on quiet evenings. The kitchen facilities had everything we needed. The bed was ridiculously comfy and we slept so well, especially because it was so quiet. Location was fantastic, right across from a nice little vegan supermarket and within walking distance of everything since it was on the high street. Can’t fault anything at all. Will definitely be booking again. Thanks Paul and Julie for being great hosts!
