Whether whipping up a snack or preparing a banquet, cooking here is a delight. Relax over breakfast in the sunny, south facing dining room with views over golden stone buildings to the green hills. The back door leads up steep stone steps to a pretty courtyard garden ideal for summer drinks and BBQ's. There are seven individually decorated bedrooms spread over four floors, sleeping 14. Four have twin, pocket sprung wide single beds which can be zipped together to make luxurious super kings. One of these bedrooms has a pretty single day bed as well as twin/super king beds, offering flexible accommodation for families or groups of friends. There are two additional single bedrooms. The south facing sitting room has three tall sash windows with delightful far reaching views over the town to the green hills beyond. The restful colour scheme and big sofas make this room an ideal sanctuary after a hard day sightseeing or shopping. There are three beautiful bathrooms. Two are spacious rooms with double-ended baths and large walk in showers and WCs. The third is a small but beautiful wet room with WC. No bedroom is more than a short flight of stairs from a bathroom and most have bathrooms on the same floor. The house has a fire alarm system with alarms on every floor and detectors in every room for total security. Everything you need for a comfortable and convenient holiday is provided in this luxurious house from wifi, two DVD players, iPhone/iPod dock with speakers, two TVs, tea, coffee and basic provisions. We can also offer any extra services you want such as daily cleaners, meals cooked for you or delivered ready cooked, suggestions for activities, booking for theatres, restaurants and entertainments (additional costs). 7 bedrooms sleep 14 people. 2 bathrooms with walk in showers, shower room and utility room with WC. The utility room has a washing/drying machine. Large kitchen with all amenities including large range cooker with 2 ovens and separate grill; large american fridge freezer; microwave; 2 dishwashers; toaster and kettle. Large open plan dining room seating 14 people. Large living room with TV, DVD player, iPhone/iPod dock with speakers and wifi. Beautiful views across Bath city. At the back of the house there is a pretty town garden for summer drinks and BBQ's. The garden is accessed from steep stone steps and is not suitable for small children or people with mobility difficulties. Bath city is a World Heritage Site. First enjoyed by the Romans, it is a unique Georgian city with some of the most famous examples of Georgian architecture in England. Bath has been made famous around the world by the writings of Jane Austen. The world famous Roman Baths have over a million visitors a year. The Thermae Spa offers the chance to swim in the open air on the roof top in the hot spa waters that first attracted the Romans to Bath. The spectacular Abbey is at the centre of the town. Bath has a vibrant shopping area with all the high street shops and many independent boutiques. Fantastic food shops, restaurants, pubs and bars are a big attraction to this perfect city. There are many music venues and The Royal Bath Theatre.
Getting around
Driving to Bath is easy as it is just off the M4 Motorway on junction 18. Bath is 2hrs 30mins from London, 2hrs from Birminghan and Exeter, and 1hr from Cardiff. The house has 3 street parking permits for the roads behind the house and 1 small garage. The nearest mainline train station is Bath Spa Station. It is only a 5 min taxi ride from the station to Rennie House or a 20 min walk. The main coach station is next to Bath Spa train station. Bath is a relatively small city and most places can reached on foot. Bars, restaurants, shops are only 5-10 mins walk from Rennie House. Major tourist attractions are only 10-15 mins walk - Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Thermae Spa, etc. There are many local buses and there is also an open top tourist
