A beautiful single storey, small and cosy, Rural Cottage set within woodland with walking, fishing, golf , cycling tracks and Horse riding on the doorstep and within walking distance of country pubs , the trans pennine trail, and public transport. Wortley village is just a few minutes drive and other numerous places of interest are within close proximity. Electric gates provide access to the lane running alongside the river leading up to the cottage. Parking and secure storage for cycles/fishing equipment/Golf Clubs is provided. The private garden area includes a grass Badminton Court , Croquet, and Boules play area plus golf putting green and golf driving practice net - see photo's! - all equipment available and free to use! Jill and Graham were excellent hosts, friendly and helpful. The property was homely, clean, and the goodies they left for us on our arrival were wonderful

Lovely cottage in spacious grounds and super walks all around. Very good standard of equipment and decoration, a very friendly welcome and excellent communication with the owners who live next door. Hope to return.

So much to see and do in the close locality... Wortley village has lots to offer ( just a few minutes drive, or you could cycle, or why not walk along the many pictureque routes into the village (approx 30 minutes - partly up hill - less on the way down!) including :- Wortley Hall - an 18th century country mansion set with 26 acres which holds regular events, has beautiful gardens, and a restaurant and bar . The Wortley Arms Pub and restaurant has a choice of pub meals, fine dining, and real Ales and a roaring fire. Wortley Mens Club has a choice Real Ales and Cider , Sky T.V and Full Size Snooker Table -Guest membership cards may be available - enquire when booking. How to get there
Detailed directions will be provided on confirmation of booking. 10 Minutes from 35a or 36 M1 Motorway. Please drive with care and attention when through the electric gates as Ducks/Ducklings, Squirrels, and pheasants are often to be found on the lane that leads to the cottage alongside the river.
