This lovely farmhouse cottage enjoys a wonderful location in the Esthwaite Valley,with views across to Tarn Hows,which also provides a range of scenic walks. The nearby village of Hawkshead has a choice of shops and pubs,as well as plenty for those who want to explore the cultural heritage of the region,with its Beatrix Potter Gallery and historic Grammar School,which was once attended by William Wordsworth. The boating centre on Coniston Water,where guests can hire boats,windsurfing boards and canoes is just five miles west of the property,whilst Lake Windermere is a short drive to the east. The main hallway of the property has doors on each side,one of which opens onto the light-filled lounge,with its beamed ceiling,wood burner,and views to the expansive gardens. There is comfortable seating from which guests can enjoy the TV/DVD. Crossing the hallway,there is a large open-plan kitchen/diner has a large dining table and cosy wood burner in the dining area,whilst the kitchen area is tastefully styled and well-equipped with everything that guests will need,including a large Range cooker,with oven and hob,microwave,fridge,freezer,dishwasher,and washing machine. There is also a convenient ground-floor cloakroom with WC. Upstairs,there are three bedrooms and although they are all located in the eaves of the house,with sloping ceilings,all have a light and airy feel. The master bedroom is a king-size room with en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath WC. The two twin bedrooms both have en-suite shower rooms,with WC,one of which has a zip-and-link. This can be made up as a king-size room upon request. All the bedrooms benefit fro having their own TVs. Outside,there are five acres of shared gardens,with seating areas and stunning views.  Off-road parking available. More
