Our 1866 artisan's cottage is in Faversham's conservation area close to the town centre with its old market square shops and numerous pubs and restaurants. It has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage is less than 10 minutes walk from Faversham railway station which offers high speed rail links to London St Pancras via Stratford International and the Olympic Village as well as trains to other London termini Canterbury Whitstable and the Kent Coast. Buses to Canterbury and Whitstable stop two minutes walk from the house and access to the M2 motorway is about 1.5 miles away. About the neighbourhood
Faversham is one of England’s most historic and charming towns, nestling between the rural delights of the Kent Downs and the austere beauty of its coastal wetlands. It is a picturesque market town with nearly 500 listed buildings. Faversham dates from pre-Roman times, is mentioned in the Domesday Book and is a bustling place with a large numberof independent shops and restaurants. Faversham also has some of the best walking in England, with way-marked routes through stunning Kent countryside and along the coastal Saxon Shore Way There is excellent birdwatching a couple of miles from the Town at Harty Ferry. Visit http://www.faversham.org
