Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotswolds, England

Pussycat Cottage is a surprisingly spacious, 1820’s, three bedroomed mid-terraced cottage, built of traditional Cotswold Stone. Situated in the village of Bourton-on the-Water (otherwise known as ‘The Venice of the Cotswolds’), it is perfectly placed as somewhere to set off exploring the Cotswolds, Cirencester, Oxford, Bath, Stratford (and so much more), and it is an absolute haven for walkers.

Hidden behind the famous ‘Mouse Trap Inn’, the cottage is a stone’s throw from our local where you can enjoy great food and local beers. It is also just a very short stroll (along one of the village’s many interesting footpaths), from the heart of the village where you can find plenty of tourist attrac...

About the neighbourhood
Regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England, Bourton-on-the-Water has more than its share of Cotswold houses and cottages, many of them three hundred years old, some dating back to Elizabethan times four hundred years ago. There is plenty to see and do here.

Local attractions include:

The River Windrush is spanned by several attractive small road and footbridges. During the summer, a game of medieval football is played with goalposts set up in the river itself. Two teams play with a standard football, and a referee attempts to keep order. Crowds line the banks of the river, and the aim is to score as many goals as possible (while getting everyone else as wet as possible).

The model village is a 1:9 replica of the village and includes a model of the model village itself (a m...
