About the neighbourhood
Swanage has many festivals and events throughout the year including Swanage Blues festival; Swanage walking festival; Swanage jazz festival and Swanage Regatta and Carnival week. It also hosts a variety of sporting events including sea rowing, triathalons and a challenging new marathon course across the Purbeck Hills which may tempt the runners amongst you.
Getting around
Swanage is freely accessible on foot and for those who want to explore further the Purbeck Breezer open top bus has a regular service to Corfe, Wareham, Studland, Sandbanks and Bournemouth. You can also go back in time and catch the steam train to Corfe Castle (and back!) or even take the Waverley Steamer paddle boat towards Bournemouth.
