Locally, apart from the beach which is one minute away, there is beautiful Hengistbury Head, Southbourne & historic Christchurch only a walk away with its ancient Castle, Priory and more restaurants and bars than you could manage in a holiday.
We will look after your every requirement at Coastguard Cottages, all linens & towels are provided. Travels cots, high chairs, toys etc, even a welcome gift!

We snatched a few days in this amazing cottage. The attention to detail was brilliant. The kitchen was beautiful and extremely well equipped. The views from the bedrooms over the sea were gorgeous. We will definitely book this cottage again. ONLY criticism... our stay was far too short.

Lovely renovated accommodation near the sea
We stayed with our two dogs for a few nights. The accommodation is really lovely, clean and modern with everything you might need for a short break. The owners live next door so if there are any problems they would be able to assist immediately. A previous reviewer had stated that there was no dividing fence between the two rental properties, this is no longer the case and therefore should you have dogs there is no worry about having to keep them enclosed. The dog friendly beach is within easy walking distance. Would happily recommend this property. A particularly nice touch was the bottle of prosecco and delicious biscuits left by the owners - very thoughtful.

Perfect Pet Friendly
The location of the cottage is excellent, 5-10 min down to the beach. Dog friendly beach & bistro. The cottage is perfect, with a front garden which is grass & decking, plently of seating to relax in the sun. The garden is enclosed so no escapcing dogs! The back courtyard has BBQ and outside seating as well. Well equiped kitchen. We will definitely visit again! Thank you Damian & Mel, you made us feel very welcome!

Fabulous
We regularly stay all over Bournemouth including renatals and hotels, the welcome was warm, the cottage imaculate with a perfect location for me and my dog, i consider it great value for money, if it suits your needs you will not be disappointed as I think it’s practically perfect ******
Lovely Time but please don’t book it, I’d like to keep it for myself👍🏻😂

Wonderful Stay
We booked the cottage for a family holiday in Southbourne, and I'm truly glad that we did. The place is well kept, clean and has everythig you could need with two young kids. For starters the garden was perfect for running around first thing and last thing at night. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use, and there was indoor and two outdoor dining options. Sleep was great in the comfy beds and quiet area, and the hosts were next door and helped us with all of our queries.
Location wise we couldn't have picked anywhere better. You are a few minutes walk from the beach, a few minutes drive from the beauty of Hengistbury Head, and a short drive to the beaches of Bournemouth.
Overall we loved it, and I can honestly say we'll be back for more!

Lovely Cottage right next to beautiful beach
Lovely cottage right next to beautiful beach. Had a great few days staying here at Damien's cottage. Great location to be able to explore local areas, lovely restaurants and cafe's and a beach walk every morning with our Dog Murphy who loved it there too! Would highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon.

Just what we were looking for
A perfect cottage, perfectly located in one of our family favourite places in the UK. The cottage was just what we were looking for - just a very short walk away from the beach and a short car ride or walk to our cherished beach of Hengistbury Head. The cottage was immaculately presented - styled like a chic beach hut with amazing attention to detail - every small touch accounted for making it feel like a 'self catering' hotel. Sea views were wonderful. The cottage was warm throughout and was greatly appreciated by all the family including our dog. Damian the owner could not have been more helpful, both before our stay and even throughout our stay. We will definitely be recommending and have already booked a return visit.

A beautiful part of Bournemouth known as Hengistbury Head, with its famous Noddy Train to Mudeford Beach & Visitors Centre. Historic Christchurch is a 15 minute walk or very short car journey where you'll find an abundance of restaurants and bars...Christchurch Quay is wonderful for the kids with its Quamps Splash Park, boat trips, play park, ice creams and plenty of swans to feed. Close by you'll find plenty of shops restaurants and supermarkets.
Getting around
Bournemouth isn't a large town, so nothing is far away. However, a car would be useful as there's lots to see around these parts other than just the beaches!
