This apartment is so beautiful, just as it is in the pictures. We had an amazing view of the sea from our balcony. Kevin the owner is very helpful and was nice to meet him. The apartment is situated 5 mins walk to the beach and Boscombe Chine gardens, it's quiet and very well maintained, just like home with a cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster and washing machine. Would definitely recommend this apartment

Lovely holiday
Highly recommended if you want a relaxing holiday. Clean, comfortable accommodation with a sea view. Kevin is a lovely owner and can suggest the attractions near the area. The apartment is small but cosy and has everything’s needed for a short stay. The only negative point is it doesn’t have a parking space and you have to park your car off the road or pay £4 per night.

Cosy place, but plenty of room to swing a cat!
Firstly I have to say Kevin the owner was attentive to all my questions prior to arrival and upon our arrival with a mindful of knowledge and suggestions where to eat and visit.
When I saw reviews about the shower water pressure the week before our stay, I was expecting a problem. However Kevin phoned me to reassure me it was being looked at before our arrival, but worst case scenario was it wasn't so serious that it would have a negative impact on our stay. Sure enough when we arrived on the Saturday Kevin was there to meet us to hand over the keys (he has a plan B if he won't be around when you arrive) and to let us know HE had fixed the shower himself as his plumber let him down. Can confirm 2 of us used shower every day for our week and it was great temperature (let it run for 30 secs) and pressure.
Looking at the photos on the site we assumed it was 1st floor as we could see roof tops from balcony shot. It's actually the best of both worlds because you enter the front on road level, but because the road slopes down when you are in the apartment looking out the back window which overlooks the car park (and you can see the sea through 'lounge' door and when on balcony, you are actually on first floor, hence nobody walking across back of building is staring in at you).
The balcony is snug....round table and 2 chairs, but it also seemed sheltered so when it was blowing a gale outside we still sat out on the balcony for our morning cup of tea and evening tipple without being blown about.
The studio apartment had everything you could need and a few extras I hadn't noticed on the original listing.....such as a hairdryer and a DVD player built in the TV.
The only things we would have found useful but managed without were: tongues (to turn the bacon), scissors (to cut the pack of sausages), Teaspoon (we did discover Kevin didn't know Teaspoons had vanished prior to our stay)
I particularly liked the 'hidden' rubbish bin with slide out compartments under the sink. I didn't discover there were actually 2 compartments until the end of the week, and could have been stashing the recycles in there, but no matter, as we just did recycling as we went along (the standard bin and recyclable bin were just outside the front door)
As others have said though you could lift the bed up every morning to put back in the wardrobe, there's no advantage of doing this, unless you plan on doing an aerobics DVD and need a large space, as there was plenty of room to move about with the bed staying down.
The other wardrobe (the one the bed doesn't live in) had enough space to hang a years supply of clothing if you needed. Though if you are taking that many clothes do take some of your own hangers as some are provided.
If you are put off by having a bedroom/lounge and dining room in one space, just consider it's like a hotel bedroom, but with the advantage of a fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, couch. I'm now a convert to a Studio Apartment as it was a better price than a 'full' apartment and on a par with a hotel room price.
It's location was a 5 min walk into Boscombe (up an incline) and a sea front 40 min walk into Bournemouth. There are 2 main bus companies in the area, Yellow Buses and More Buses. Both charged £4.10 for an adult jump on and off all day ticket.
It's probably going to be 10 years or so before we revisit Bournemouth but I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Kevin's place again
P.s. At no time were any cats swung!!!! (as implied in the title).....we do not have any pets

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide a wonderful detailed review, much appreciated. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay in and around Bournemouth, and that the apartment met your expectations. I particularly appreciate the feedback with regards to items you would have found useful had they have been there (i.e. scissors, tongs etc). This helps us to look at people's experiences and constantly improve where we are able.
P.S. I've seen the neighbourhood cat around since you left, and I confirm that she doesn't appear to have a longer tail than before you came.

My Holiday review
Hi,
I found the accommodation to be in very good order in terms of decoration, lovely and clean and well equipped.
Only issues we had was that there was low water pressure from the shower which had an impact on the hot/cold water flow. Other than that the place is really nice.
Kevin also is very friendly and helpful and took time to speak to me and my wife regarding the local area. Kevin is an approachable type of person and would advise where needed.

Very relaxing break
First time in bournmouth for us, The holiday flat is spotlessly clean and has everything you need with views of the sea, We ate out all week so did not use cooker etc but if you go intending to cook everything you need is there, It's 5 mins from the beach and we walked into bournmouth most nights for food lots of restaurants there, We kept the fold up bed down all week and there's still plenty of room, It's also very quiet at night , Would definitely return Also ask about a parking space and pay the bit extra as would find it difficult to park otherwise.
