About the neighbourhood
Log cottage on 3 acre private point on McKenzie Lake near Algonquin Park, Ontario. 3 1/2 hours drive north-east of Toronto, Ontario. Very secluded, peaceful and beautiful unspoiled nature. No neighbors visible. Quiet lake. Excellent swimming from dock or off flat-rock shoreline. There is also a public sand beach at the far end of the lake (about 10 minute drive). Eastern entrance to Algonquin Park approximately 35 minutes away. The Park has many attractions: nature and hiking trails; an Interpretive Centre which offers an amazing wolf howling experience on certain evenings; a logging museum; and much more. September and early October are special times to be at the cottage with spectacular fall colours. Good fishing, boating and canoeing. Parking area will easily accommodate 3 vehicles.... more
