The Windmill,Horning. Have just returned from our second stay at The Windmill,first visited October 2012. We had some reservations,everyone says "never go back", but we had so enjoyed it before,we decided to risk it. What a wise decision! The accommodation was immaculate,kitchen & bathroom superb,garden tidy,& handy shed for fishing tackle. Unfortunately,weather a bit cool which affected the fishing,but not...

What can we say about this property Well it was 10* and worth every penny it was cleaner than clean everything you needed was there, a welcome gift awaited us ie milk in the fridge bread butter and jams which were delicious by the way. I cannot find one single fault with this property at all well only one minor...

Lovely location.Very peaceful.Good central point for visiting the Broads.Had a relaxing time.Loved the local "wildlife".All in all a very pleasant stay.

Given the nature of the Windmill, accommodation is not spacious, but is full of character, and has everything you could need for a week's holiday. Small but perfectly formed! Electric heaters in all rooms. One double bedroom, and two single bedrooms. It has a wonderful view over the river Bure, and the fishing is good. It is accessed via a gravel path, and all the accommodation is on the ground floor.

Day boats can be hired locally for days or the week. Belwilderwood - The Tree House Adventure Park is just up the road. Wroxham Barns craft centre makes for a lovely day out with it's craft shops, children's fun fair and junior farm where all the family can feed and interact with the animals and it's only 3 miles away.
