Welcome to the gardener´s house, located on a peaceful farm on beautiful Ile d´Orléans, yet only a 25 minutes drive from old Quebec City.

This is a large 50´ by 25´house built in 1937 and moved to its actual location in 2008 (ask us the story!) . The house is located about 900 meters from the road, on a hill that allows a panoramic view on the river. Your neighbours will be a golf club, a quiet potato field and Yves, the owner of the house.

We stayed in this beautiful home over Thanksgiving Week and loved every minute. We enjoyed long walks on the golf course, took easy day trips to Quebec City and around the island (loved the Choclateries and the ice wine and ice cider), took long naps...More

Ile d´Orleans is a must-see for every travellers visiting Quebec city. From the Lonely Planet guide :

'Before Jacques Cartier named Île d'Orléans in the Duke of Orleans' honor, it was known as L'Île de Bacchus for its wild vines. Four centuries later, Québécois troubadour Félix Leclerc, who died here in 1988, likened the island to France's famous Chartres cathedral.
Today, there are no signs of Dionysian orgies on sleepy Île d'Orléans, but there is plenty to attract day-trippers and those lucky visitors with more time to spare. The island is still primarily a pastoral farming region, with gentle landscapes and views across to both shores of the St Lawrence. One road (60km) circles it, with two more running north-south.
