About the neighbourhood
perfect location to enjoy all the Niagara Peninsula has to over. 15 minute drive to the brink of the Horseshoe Falls, 35 minutes from historic Niagara-on-the-lake and 20 minutes from the Peace Bridge. Though you are only 15 minutes away from all the touristy things, a car is needed, we are in the country and there is no public transport available. The 'hoblet' is unique in that you are nestled in with nature and the animals, we have a small animal sanctuary, enjoy the close proximity of the animals, of which all have been rescued. There are 5 donkeys, 1 mule, 2 goats, 2 pot belly piggies and 2 dogs. Part of the experience is enjoying the natural setting, and being 'unplugged'. (Corporate clients, and guests please advise us if wifi/internet is necessary for your stay). Plea... more
Getting around
We are right in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula. It sounds like a commercial, sorry, but there is so much more than just the falls here. Great 'antiquing', some of the finest beaches in the province. The capital of Ontario just an hour and a half away (Toronto), and the international border.
As we are small animal sanctuary, we are located in the country so a car (whether your own or rented at the bus or train station, or airports (Bufffalo and Toronto) is a must. We would be happy to suggest outings and day trips that suit your personal interests.

How to get there
Airport: Buffalo: 64.0 km
Railway: Niagara Falls: 32.0 km
We are a short and easy drive, approximately 40 min. from Buffalo airport. Best international crossing is the Peace Bridge. Take the Netherby exit or Lyons Creek and go to Crowland Rd to Lincoln or Morris Rd to Lincoln.
Toronto airport is about an hour and twenty minutes drive.
Coming from Toronto, the direct approach would be to take the 406 exit from the QEW. To Welland/ Port Colborne. At the end of the 406 is the traffic circle, veer left to go through the East Main Tunnel. Stay to the right and go onto the 140 (Port Colborne). Turn left on Buchner, continue on and cross Mckenny Road, now Buchner changes its name to Lincoln, we are on the right just before the tracks.
The bus terminal and train station in Niagara Falls is about 25 min. You do need a car here, we are in the countr...
