Just 15 min by highway to downtown Halifax, en route to Peggy's Cove and famous south short Nova Scotia. Located on a 10 acres peninsula, with no other houses within view. This is one of two flats in a large estate sized house. The flat has its own entrances (2); and is complete with large windows in every room overlooking the lake. It has unlimited parking. The property includes use of canoes, kayak, paddle boat. There is fishing and swimming on the lake. Westward orientation with fabulous sunsets. Ten minute walk from house to TransCanada trail. About the neighbourhood
On shores of peaceful lake, minutes from Peninsula of Halifax, yet miles from the noise and congestion. Within 20 kms. of downtown Halifax, easy commute on 4 lane divided highway. Great location for morning walks, as the subdivision has a loop walk that is about 5 kms. The trans canada trail is within l km of the flat (a bike rental coffee shop is a short drive away). More serious hikers may enjoy the Wooden's River / Bluff Trail hikes and explore nature on well marked trails. This property is on a peninsula jutting into a large lake, with sandy beach just steps from your private deck facing the water. Westward orientation gives you front row seats for beautiful sunsets. We have canoes and a paddle boat to help you explore the many coves and inlets of this lake.
How to get there
Take Highway 102 south towards Halifax, then exit at Highway 103; Follow 103 to Exit 4, turn left off the highway ramp and first left is Silver Birch. Five Island Road is your first right off Silver Birch. A blue civic number marks the location, with a country lane but the house is not visible from the street.
