Johnnygate Grange is in the grounds of Barlow Woodseats Hall which dates back to the Norman conquest the property was rebuilt in 1624. The Grange has recently been sympathetically restored to meet modern traveller requirements within the historic setting. 5 en-suite bedrooms, an attractive sitting room and spacious dinning kitchen perfect for lager groups. Set in open country side with views over the Peak District, the house was the first marital home of Bess of Hardwick who went on to build Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House both of which are nearby. There are an number of good places to eat ranging for pub food to fine dining, ample attractions within the Peak District and many out door sports including ,walking, bike riding, horse riding, fishing and clay pigeon shooting....Johnnygate Grange is in the grounds of Barlow Woodseats Hall which dates back to the Norman conquest the property was rebuilt in 1624.
