But, fishing, windsurfing, hiking, snorkeling, beach walking or just plain relaxing are what life is about in Spa Buena Vista. The unique thatched-roof yurt structure is complete with shower, toilet, sink, mini fridge, propane two-burner stove top, wireless internet and comfortable beds. All the water for the community comes from an underground hot spring which is quaintly turned on at 8 AM and turned of at 6 PM. After that gravity fed water comes from tower mounted 'tanakas.' The yurts have great views of the Sea of Cortez and and it is an easy 2 minute stroll to an endless white sand beach. The surrounding residential neighborhood is quiet, safe and relaxing. If you like salt water fishing, some of the best is right at your doorstep. During the winter, some of the world's finest windsurfing is a kite board away. WHEN TO COME: It's all good but near perfect weather can best be found March to June, and mid-October to December. July through September has some of the best fishing, but is can be quite hot. You'll want to put ice in you soaking tub. December to March are the windy months, which draws windsurfers and kite boarders to the area. Evenings may require a sweatshirt in these 'winter' months. But, no matter when you come there is something for everyone and the days are almost always bright and sunny. Even if the 'calendar' says we are full, send a request anyway. There is a good chance we have space since the calendar feature only tracks one of the four yurts. So, check out Ramadas Sol y Mar, soak in your private spa water tub, enjoy a piece of unspoiled paradise, and plan an unforgettable vacation. Unique, comfortable and affordable - an unbeatable combination. NOTE: Even if the calendar says 'unavailable,' send us an inquiry anyway. The calendar feature only tracks one of the four available yurts. More

I wold definitely stay here again. The owners were very nice and even had 2 beers waiting for us in the fridge! They also gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat nearby. The hot tub just outside our yurt was fantastic!

About the neighbourhood
Halfway between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz on the Sea of Cortez. As easy 45 minute drive north of the Cabo airport on Highway 1. Spa Buena vista is a small community build around the lovely Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort and just 3 miles south of Los Barriles. The yurts themselves are only a block and a half from the Sea of Cortez and miles of sandy beach. You can arrange for a taxi from the Los Cabos airport to Buena Vista (about $70, ulises_taxis@hotmail.com), but you might find a rental car to be more convenient if you plan to explore the area.
How to get there
From the Los Cabos airport head north on Highway 1 to km mile post 105. It's about 45 minute drive. Take a right when you see the Buena Vista Beach Resort Hotel sign. You will be in the community of Spa Buena Vista on a dirt road. Follow the dirt road past the small store and head to the right down a palm lined street toward the sea of Cortez. Take the second left which is a cul-de-sac and follow it to the end where the yurts (Ramadas) are located.
