About the neighbourhood
Guanajuato is located in the most central part of Mexico. It is nestled in the Sierra Mountains but close to other major historic and cultural cities such as San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro, and Guadalajara. The city of Guanajuato is 40 minutes away from the Leon, 1 hr away from San Miguel de Allende, and 2 hrs away from Dolores Hidalgo and Pozos.
Getting around
Shopping for Food & Spirits: -The Mercado Hidalgo has the freshest fruits and vegetables it town and it’s only a 5-7 minute walk from the house on Ave Juarez. It's hard to miss. On the first floor you’ll find produce and the second floor is dedicated to arts & crafts from the region. -La Comercial Mexicana is the biggest super market in Guanajuato. -There's a convenience store inside Plaza San Fernando and a bigger one, an OXXO just steps from the plaza where you can purchase essentials, sodas, beer, wine, etc. -There is a good bakery called La Purisma on Ave Juarez For things to do in Guanajuato.
