I spent 10 days in April 2014 in St Lucia with my wife and 6 year old daughter (first visit). We chose this villa from a longer list in preference to an all inclusive resort.

The villa is really well located in Rodney Bay towards the north of the island. Rodney Bay seems to have the best tourist infrastructure with plenty of bars and restaurants. The villa is part of a group of 6 apartments in a gated/guarded reserve called The Reserve in a quiet road but within a stone's throw of 2 excellent supermarkets and shopping malls. There are loads of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment. Some good ones like Tapas on the Bay, Big Chef Steakhouse and Spice of India are right at the end of the road. There's also nearby take away options including indian, chinese, domino's pizza etc. The bus stop for Gros Islet, Rodney Bay marina and the capital, Castries is no more that a 5 minute walk away. The beach takes longer. I would say that it is a 10 to 15 minute...
